the free nearby parking was convenient and the breakfast was tasty and good value for money. We also appreciated the charming 4-poster bed in our room and the attentive owner who promptly texted us when we accidentally left a watch behind.

There were a few dated features that detracted from our overall experience. the bathroom fittings were somewhat loose and the electric shower could have used a curtain or a hook to hold the shower head.

The room was comfortable and the location was ideal for our needs at the weekend - a few minutes walk from the college where my partner's son graduated and a good bus route to central Cambridge.

The main road location (I had a front room) made sleep difficult - the road was busy throughout the night and early hours. Also, the bath was an awkward shape and rather small - I am 6'4" tall and my partenr is 5'10" and we both had problems. The hot water system could not cope with demand in the mornings.

The hotel offered free parking, which was a great relief when travelling by car. The towels and bedding were clean and fresh, adding to the comfort of the stay. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making us feel at ease.

The accommodation felt cramped and outdated. The bathroom facilities were small and not very functional.

The owner was very helpful in lending me her laptop when I couldn't get my WiFi to work in Brooklands. The room was very elegant. Unfortunately, we had to skip breakfast because we had to leave early to catch the 6:55 am bus to London so can't comment about the breakfast.

Brooklands is on a busy street, but one can get by with ear plugs for the night. Also, it's a bit of a walk into the centre, but the railway station and coach stop are reasonably close.

My stay at this hotel was a pleasant surprise. the value for money was excellent, with prices that were very affordable. Secondly, the attention to detail was evident throughout the hotel, from the basic amenities provided in the rooms to the well-prepared breakfast. Lastly, the location, approximately 1 mile from the train station, was convenient for exploring the city.

No major issues, everything was satisfactory.

location room and the bathroom were clean,

1.payment for booking was not taken straightaway when a reservation was made a few months before 2.there was a lack of welcoming atmosphere upon arrival, a staff member was rude to me in explaining that we were unable to use our room at 10 am as it was not clean yet 3.it was confirmed to me online that I will be able to book in between 8am and 10 am. In fact, rooms were not ready even after 10 am. 4.the room and the bathroom were very small. I stayed in a double room which in fact would be suitable for just one person 5.full English breakfast was not included in the price . It is very unusual to be asked to pay extra for it. There should be a better choice and access to continental breakfast options.

This hotel offers great value for money, with affordable prices for a comfortable stay. The attention to detail is evident throughout, from the well-equipped rooms with all the necessary appliances to the complementary toiletries provided. The staff is friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with any requests. The location of the hotel is also a major advantage, being just a short distance from the train station.

While all aspects of my stay were satisfactory, there is room for improvement in terms of furniture quality and the heating system.

Very comfortable bed, en suite room, next to bus stop with buses to city centre, near train station, cheap by Cambridge standards, free wifi

Room lock did not work, staff seemed a bit rushed.

The price and that it included breakfasts. Also that it was ensuite.

The room I got was the attic and was very uncomfortable not being able to stand up strait in parts of the room.
